BEN GRIGSBY
Drawing Office Manager

Ben has 20 years’ experience in production of design deliverables for small to medium EPC and EPCM projects, across mineral resources, onshore and offshore Oil and Gas sectors.

With vast experience from plant concept development and multi-discipline plant layout, management of design thru to construction support, Ben has been involved in countless projects across the Asia Pacific Region. Ben’s broad knowledge and experience in plant layouts give Primero Group a very sound base for the building blocks within any processing facility.

NED HAMBLING
Principal Mechanical Engineer

Ned has over 15 years’ experience in the mechanical design, construction and commissioning of large scale projects in a number of mining applications. His knowledge of design processes have given him the essential background to enable him to manage large scale engineering teams to deliver a quality outcome for any project. Ned’s commitment and valuable communication skills make him a valuable asset to any organisation.

ADAM GRYL
Lead Mechanical Engineer

Adam is an experienced mechanical engineer with over 15 years exposure to design, commissioning, operation and maintenance of major minerals processing projects in Australia and overseas. Significant experience in a range of commodities, in dry plant and wet plant facilities. Committed to safe, practical and economical solutions that maximise value to all stakeholders

SIMON O’LEARY
Principal Process Engineer

Over 20 years of experience in minerals processing, acquired through a combination of site operational and technical support, engineering, technical product support/reagent sales and collaborative research and development. Specific areas of interest include operational review and improvements, process development, circuit design and optimisation, trade-off studies and feasibility studies.
A benefit from having worked in operations, engineering, research and development and technical product support/reagent sales is the accumulated knowledge and understanding of the synergies, as well as a wide industry network which enables connection and delivering value to the many aspects of mineral processing projects.

Simon has provided hands on metallurgical and operational support at the Degrussa Copper Mine, Mt Keith Nickel Operation, and Kwinana Nickel Refinery. He has provided Production Manager coverage as per rostering requirements at these processing plants and refinery.

BRETT CROSSLEY
Lead Process Engineer

32 years’ experience in various roles in process and engineering design, predominantly in complex hydrometallurgical base metals applications, and in plant operations. Brett has specialised in hydrometallurgical applications (mainly nickel/cobalt/manganese), but also has experience with gold and uranium processing.
Brett has a significant amount of applied knowledge gained from his time with Western Mining Corporation’s project development group, and understands both the mineralogy and chemistry requirements for effective separation and metallurgical recovery. He also has a high level of operational management experience and was recently the Metallurgical Superintendent for the Kanowna Belle mine.

With respect to study experience, Brett has been involved in detailed studies as Study Manager and Principal Process Engineer. He has also liaised with sub consultants for geological, mining, environmental and other specialist disciplines required for completion of studies. Brett’s experience in process and engineering design is supported by his extensive hydrometallurgical experience in research and development and complex plant operations.

SHAWN TREWHITT
Lead Process Engineer (Thermal & Gas Design)

Shawn has over 15 years’ experience in the process design of both onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities. Shawn has gained significant experience on numerous projects as a process engineer and has a very good understanding of the process limitations and design parameters required for hydrocarbons facilities and process operating requirements & philosophies. He has extensive experience in the preparation of project PFD’s & P&ID’s, development of design calculations, equipment specification and participation HAZOP studies.

CHRIS REEVES
Principal EI&C Engineer

Chris has amassed a significant background in all components of electrical engineering over his 15 years of experience across the globe designing, installing and commissioning electrical installations. With the majority of his experience in minerals applications Chris has working on major projects from power generation through to specialising in minerals processing – in particular milling and crushing applications. His wide expansive knowledge allows him to lead designs and his design team in the most critical applications with his sound experience and extreme competency in the complete electrical, instrumentation and control fields.

AARON HUGGETT
E&I Operations Manager

Aaron has a detailed understanding of Project Controls and operational processes in a wide range of business functions. He has previously worked for Companies such as FMG, Lycopodium (Rio Tinto EP), Cimeco and Nilsen Switchboards with significant experience in switchboards and switchroom focused Projects as well as general electrical installations ranging from HV utilities to non-process and village infrastructure. With a trade background and formal training in Project Management, Corporate Negotiations and Customer Focus, his knowledge of project controls and management add sound key management skills to the Primero team and strengthen the lump sum background of Primero.

DAVID SAPSWORTH
Project Development Manager

David is an Engineer with 22 years’ experience encompassing corporate management, project management, design and maintenance, in both mining project development and operational sites. David is experienced with company management, board level reporting, company directorship and the establishment of new offices. David has a diversified skill set having managed and performed in operational, commercial, quality and engineering roles.

KEVIN MURRAY
Group Manager of Construction

Kevin is a trade qualified mechanical fitter, skilled in construction and project management with 19 years of international and domestic experience in resource sector. Kevin’s proven record of success completing projects on time and under budget. Kevin is highly skilled in organizing, executing and coordinating assignments. Kevin is a strong team member who is able to motivate co-workers to achieve optimal production rates while maintaining high safety methods and practices.
